Things to Do
In Mallorca, regardless of the season there’s always something to do and you basically cannot get bored with the level of activities and events that are available throughout the year.
However for travelers we’ve selected a series of activities that would be most appealing:
- Water parks
- Safari Zoo
- Sea trips
- Thematic parks
Mallorca counts with three major water parks. One situated south of Palma in S’Arenal (Aqualand), another situated in the western municipality of Calvia (Western Water Park) and the third situated in the north city of Alcudia (Hidropark).
If you love to explore the sea creatures but don’t want to go diving or at least snorkeling then you can choose between the Palma Aquarium, situated south of Palma in Can Pastilla and Marineland which is situated western of Palma in the Costa d’en Blanes resort. While Marineland offers also a series of shows with dolphins and sea lions, the Palma Aquarium is also suitable for housing events.
On the road that goes from Porto Cristo to Son Servera on the east coast of Mallorca you can find the Safari Zoo where you can go around and visit the animals in your own car or with the Safari Train. Free bus service is available from the Sa Coma, Cala Millor and S’Illot resorts.
Nearly each touristic resort in Mallorca offers it’s visitors the possibility of going on sea trips and other sea related activities. The most common sea trips are those to the archipelago of Cabrera which is a natural reservation. However, on the coastal line of Mallorca it’s possible to go on sea trips in glass bottom catamarans which also include multilingual guide and catering services.
When it comes to thematic parks for both kids and adults the Katmandu park situated in Magaluf stands out. Counting with a 4D cinema and a small kids water park the Katmandu park is mostly known for it’s first and main attraction, the house upside-down.
